Partnerships

And Pathways

Lions Haven offers several pathways to support employment, training and career development. Collaborative partnerships with Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, private training providers and universities provide opportunities for placement and assist career development in nursing, personal caring, hospitality and administration. We also support school-based trainees and apprentices through recognised vocational pathways to help young people experience the caring environment of health and aged care while gaining tertiary qualifications.

TAFE

TAFE offers a range of courses in individual and ageing support from skill sets right through to certificate IV level qualifications. Career outcomes include: Aged care worker, Assistant in nursing (AIN), Care service team leader, Direct care worker, Personal carer, Respite care worker, Support worker, Volunteer coordinator.

Universities

Lions Haven is supporting the next generation of nurses and health care professionals by collaborating with local universities to provide opportunities for employment or student placement. RTO’s & Schools

Lions Haven is supporting the next generation of nurses and health care professionals by collaborating with local schools, TAFE and registered training organisations (RTOs) to provide opportunities for student choosing a vocational pathway in the senior years of school. Traineeships and apprenticeships may be available in areas such as assistant nursing, personal caring, kitchen or administration.

Assistance Program

Lions Haven engages with an Employee Assistance Program EAP Assist, this program supports employee’s wellbeing with confidential counselling, the aim of this counselling is to help resolve both workplace and personal issues before they adversely impact an employee’s mental health and workplace performance.
